Phone call, voice call, the dog and bone? Whatever you choose to call a phone call Cloaked can help! Make your call using a Cloaked number ensuring your personal number doesn't fall into the wrong hands (or ears).
All you need is a Cloaked Identity with a phone number assigned to it, your recipient's number, and that's it.
Making a call from the Cloaked App
When making a call via the Cloaked App you'll need to ensure you've got a Cloaked Identity created and a number generated and that you've verified your personal phone number with Cloaked.
Once you've done this you'll need to follow the steps below to place the call!
Placing a call on Android
Calling a new number
- Go to the Cloaked Identity or Home Screen tab, then select the Cloaked Identity you would like to call from.
- Tap on the Compose/Call Button in the lower right of the screen.
- Then tap on Enter new number and then dial the number you wish to call (including country code). Then tap on Next to continue.
- You'll be prompted to name the number as a contact or you can skip this step. To name the contact/number tap on Add Name to Contact then Save this Name.
- To place a call to the newly saved number tap on the Call button next to the saved contact name.
- You'll may be presented a number to dial, this will be the Cloaked Routing Number, which will launch your phone's dialer and will automatically enter the Cloaked Routing Number for you.
- This will automatically start the call and you'll be connected with the recipient in no time at all. Once you've finished the call you can hang up as normal.
Calling an Existing Number
- Go to the Cloaked Identity or Home Screen tab, then select the Cloaked Identity you would like to call from.
- Tap on the Contacts tab at the top of the screen with the Cloaked Identity or tap on the Compose/Call Button in the lower right of the screen.
- Tap on the Call Button next to the name of the contact you wish to call
- This will automatically start the call and you'll be connected with the recipient in no time at all. Once you've finished the call you can hang up as normal.

- Tap on the Compose/Call located in the lower right then tap the call (phone) icon next to the contact you wish to (you can also access your Contacts via the Contacts Tab within the Cloaked Identity) .
- iOS will prompt you to call the Cloaked Routing Number setup to place this call which will automatically start the call and you'll be connected with the recipient in no time at all.
- Once you've finished the call you can hang up as normal.
What is the Cloaked Routing Number?
Any calls placed in Cloaked are placed in via your phone's native dialer/call app but the call will be routed via Cloaked two-way-secure-routing. You can learn more about how this works here.
