Pick your favorite online account. Or honestly, it could be your least favorite, but you'll probably want to do one you care about because it's about to be super secureCloaked.

Securing your favorite online accounts (existing accounts)

Using the Cloaked App, Desktop Extension, or Cloaked Desktop Dashboard you can easily update your existing online accounts to use Cloaked Credentials and Details.

  1. Login to your account as normal using your old credentials
  2. Go to the account settings and locate your user profile
  3. From either the Cloaked Extension or the Cloaked Dashboard create a new identity for the relevant site and name the identity
  4. Generate a new email, phone number, password, and username as required.
  5. Copy and Paste these new credentials into the site's account settings
  6. Make sure to save your new Credentials in Cloaked! These are now saved securely, you can access them from any device, and these credentials are fully safe and secure.

Why does this matter?

If you don't Cloak your personal info, it provides several vectors of vulnerability:

  • If the website you provide your info mistreats it, you could be hit with spam, scams, or any vulnerabilities associated with the entire internet having access to this info.
  • If this site suffers a breach or is a malicious entity, they can potentially gain vectors to access/attack your information on other sites.
  • If your personal info is breached elsewhere, it can be used to attack this site and your account within it.
  • Your personal information is a way to get to you, your family, and your entire online presence. You don't want it falling in the wrong hands.
