To ensure Cloaked Call Guard functions correctly and avoids interference from Spectrum’s spam protection, it is critical to fully disable Spectrum Call Guard. This guide walks you through the exact steps needed to turn off all spam filtering settings from your Spectrum Mobile account.

Important Notice

Spectrum’s Call Guard cannot be disabled by deleting an app. Spam identification and blocking features remain active unless you manually turn them off through your Spectrum account settings.

How Spectrum Call Guard Works

  • Blocks known malicious calls before they reach your phone.

  • Labels other spam, telemarketing, or robocalls as “Potential Spam.”

  • Offers control to manage blocked numbers and exceptions via your Allowed Numbers List.

Steps to Disable Spectrum Call Guard

Step 1: Sign in to Your Spectrum Account

  1. Visit: https://www.spectrum.net

  2. Click Sign In and enter your account credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Mobile Line

  1. Select the “Services” tab from the main menu.

  2. Go to the “Mobile” sub-tab.

  3. Choose the device/line you'd like to manage (repeat for each line, if needed).

Step 3: Access Call Guard Settings

  1. Scroll down until you see the Call Guard section.

  2. Click or tap into it.

Step 4: Turn Off Spam Protection

Within the Call Guard panel, you’ll see these options:

  • Spam ID

  • Spam Blocking

Take the following actions:

  • Toggle Spam ID OFF

  • Toggle Spam Blocking OFF

Step 5: Save and Confirm

  • Your settings are saved automatically.

  • You can return here at any time to re-enable features or adjust your Allowed Numbers List.

Final Check: Test Your Phone

Once Spectrum Call Guard is disabled:

  • Ask a friend to call you from a previously blocked or labeled number.

  • Ensure the call rings through normally and isn’t labeled as spam.

  • Check that your voicemail and SMS functions are working as expected.

You’re now ready to set up Cloaked Call Guard with no interference from Spectrum's blocking features. Let us know if you need setup instructions or troubleshooting help.
