This guide will walk you through completely turning off Robokiller. It's essential to follow these steps carefully to ensure Robokiller is fully deactivated, preventing any conflicts when you set up Call Guard and ensuring you're no longer billed by Robokiller. Simply uninstalling the app isn't enough and can lead to missed calls.

Instructions for Android Devices

1. Cancel Your Robokiller Subscription:

  • If you subscribed via Google Play Store:
    1. Open the Google Play Store app.
    2. Tap on your profile icon at the top right.
    3. Select Payments & subscriptions.
    4. Tap on Subscriptions.
    5. Find Robokiller in your list and tap on it.
    6. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • If you subscribed via the Robokiller Website:
    1. Go to the Robokiller website (www.robokiller.com).
    2. Sign in to your account (usually with your phone number).
    3. Navigate to your account settings or dashboard.
    4. Find the option to Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

2. Disable Robokiller's Call Forwarding & Call Blocking:

Robokiller relies on call forwarding to screen your calls. You must deactivate this.

  • Option A: In-App Deactivation (Recommended First)
    1. Open the Robokiller app on your Android device.
    2. Go to the Settings menu (often a gear icon, or look under a "More" or "Account" tab).
    3. Look for an option like Help & Support, then Deactivate Robokiller or Deactivate This Phone.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully. This may involve tapping an option like Turn off Call Forwarding, which might show you a deactivation code to dial.
  • Option B: Use Robokiller's Deactivation Website
    1. If you can't use the app or it's already uninstalled, visit www.deactivatemyphone.com in a web browser.
    2. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by Robokiller.
  • Option C: Manual Carrier Deactivation Codes
    1. If the above methods don't work, you may need to manually dial carrier-specific codes to turn off conditional call forwarding. Robokiller's support site lists common ones (which can change, so always verify if possible):
      • AT&T, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Cricket, Straight Talk: Try dialing ##004# and press Call. Alternatively, try ##61#, ##62#, ##67#, or ##21# individually.
      • Verizon: Try dialing *73. Some older Verizon codes might be *900 or *920.
      • Sprint/T-Mobile (some legacy Sprint): Try dialing *720 or *730.
    2. If unsure, search "disable conditional call forwarding [your carrier name]" or contact your carrier directly.
  • Check Android's Default Caller ID & Spam App Setting:
    1. Open your phone's Settings app.
    2. Search for "Caller ID & spam".
    3. Ensure Robokiller is not set as the default. If it is, change it to your phone's native service or another app.

3. Uninstall the Robokiller App:

Once your subscription is canceled and call forwarding is fully disabled:

  1. Go to your phone's Settings app > Apps (or Applications).
  2. Find and select Robokiller.
  3. Tap Uninstall and confirm.

Alternatively, you can usually uninstall an app by long-pressing its icon on your home screen or in the app drawer and selecting Uninstall.
