We here at Cloaked are dedicated to helping our users maintain their privacy in this new digital age. If you are watching this video, you are likely also privacy-minded and are looking for ways to further protect your information. Although you’ve likely already enrolled in our data deletion program, if you haven’t, you can enroll by accessing the data deletion form from either the desktop dashboard or the mobile dashboard. A link to further instructions on enrollment will be provided in this FAQ guide.

Now that you’ve enrolled in data deletion, you may be wondering, well if Cloaked removes my information from data brokers, what about other sources of my information? What if someone Googles my information? How can I ensure that people can’t find me?

In this FAQ guide, we’ll be going over how you can suppress Google results to keep your personal information private.

  1. First, let’s navigate to your Results About You page. You can follow this link:

  2. Click on Get started. This may also say “Settings” depending on your browser or device.

  3. Click Next, and then click Next again.

  4. Fill out any names, physical addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses you want to stop appearing in Google searches.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Choose whether you want to be notified of results including your information by email, push notifications, or both. Click Save.

  7. Click “I’m done”.

Now, we can wait until Google notifies us of results containing our information.

Once you’ve received the notification that there are search results containing your contact information, you can choose which ones to suppress. Let’s walk through that together, too.

  1. Find the email or text message you received from Google.

  2. Click “Review results”.

  3. Scroll down to the “Results found” section.

  4. Review the results that were found and select the ones you wish to no longer show up in Google Searches. Alternatively, you can click “All results”. You may find results of your family members or people you know, as well, and can mark those to remove, too.

  5. Click on “Request to remove”.

Now, Google will no longer show the results you’ve flagged as containing your personal information.

Congratulations on another step towards securing your data privacy!
