The following video guide covers the process of removing your data from USAPeopleSearch.

Sadly some data brokers require these manual steps to be undertaken in order to fully remove your data from their records.

From within your Cloaked Data Removal (Data Deletion) Dashboard you will have written instructions along with this you can follow along with our video guide here.

You can also find the referenced links in the transcripts below.

Transcript:

00:00:00

Thank you for enrolling in our data deletion program, and welcome to Cloaked!

00:00:04

If you’re watching this, you’ve likely been notified that USAPeopleSearch requires manual action to remove your data.

00:00:12

This may come as a surprise; while Cloaked is able to automatically request the removal of your data from the majority of data brokers, some data brokers do not allow for automated submissions.

00:00:24

To simplify this process for you, we have identified USAPeopleSearch as the umbrella broker for three other websites.

00:00:32

In the next two minutes, this video will show you how to submit a request that will remove your information from four total data brokers.

00:00:41

Although these steps will be displayed on a desktop computer, you can easily access this same process through your mobile device.

00:00:49

First, we’ll want to navigate to their data removal form.

00:00:53

The link to this will be provided in this FAQ guide.

https://www.usa-people-search.com/manage

00:00:57

In order to confirm your removal request, USAPeopleSearch will request your email address.

00:01:03

Since we’re a Cloaked user, we can use a Cloaked email address to add an additional layer of protection.

00:01:10

Now, we can check off the corresponding checkboxes and fill out the CAPTCHA to confirm that we’re a human.

00:01:17

Then, click on Begin Removal Process.

00:01:20

The next thing we’ll want to do is search up our information to find the record we want to tell USAPeopleSearch to remove.

00:01:28

Fill in your full name and your city and state and press Search.

00:01:32

Alternatively, you can also search for yourself by your phone number or your address.

00:01:37

Find your record from the list of results provided by USAPeopleSearch and click View Details.

00:01:45

Verify that the record is yours and then you can click on the Remove Record button.

00:01:50

USAPeopleSearch will send a confirmation email to the email address you provided.

00:01:56

If you have the Cloaked web extension enabled, you should receive a browser notification once it arrives.

00:02:03

If not, you can also check your inbox on the Cloaked app or website.

00:02:08

Once you’ve received the email, click on the Click Here to Remove my Record button.

00:02:13

Now, the only thing left to do is to wait until USAPeopleSearch approves your removal request.

00:02:19

Congratulations on another step towards securing your privacy!

00:02:23

Troubleshooting:

USAPeopleSearch currently has a glitch on their website where your record will be displayed, but once you click on View Details to opt out, you will be linked to an entirely different record. Since USAPeopleSearch is a third party data broker, we are unable to fix this glitch. However, we do have a workaround if this glitch is occuring for you.

In order to have your record removed from USAPeopleSearch, you will need to email them using the following email address:

support@usa-people-search.com

In order for them to find the record you wish to remove, you will need to provide your information for them to verify. In our experience, USAPeopleSearch prefers if you include at the very least your full name, date of birth, and a physical address tied to your record, but you may also be able to use any phone numbers or email addresses to verify the record, as well.

Once you've provided this information, USAPeopleSearch's team will begin the verification process. Once this is done, they'll let you know if they need any further information. If not, they will tell you that they've begun the removal process for you.

If you are running into any other errors regarding USAPeopleSearch, please reach out to us at support@cloaked.com so we can investigate and add troubleshooting steps to this guide. Thank you for being a valued member of Cloaked!
