The following video guide covers the process of removing your data from BeenVerified.

Sadly some data brokers require these manual steps to be undertaken in order to fully remove your data from their records.

If you’re watching this, you’ve likely been notified that BeenVerified requires manual action to remove your data.

This may come as a surprise; while Cloaked is able to automatically request the removal of your data from the majority of data brokers, some data brokers have systems that do not allow for automated submissions.

To make this seamless for you, we have identified BeenVerified as the umbrella broker for 15 other websites.

In the next two minutes, this video will show you how to submit a request that will remove your information from 16 total data brokers.

We’ll begin in the notification on the data removal dashboard, which can be found on the desktop dashboard or the mobile dashboard.

The remainder of these steps will be displayed on a desktop computer, but you can easily access this same process on your mobile device.

Here, we can click on the link that has been provided by BeenVerified, which will bring us to their site.

We’ll need to enter our first and last name for BeenVerified to check for records that match your information.

After we find the record that matches us, we can click on Proceed to Opt Out.

At this point, Been Verified will request an email address to send your opt-out confirmation to.

However, since we use Cloaked, let’s generate a Cloaked email address for an additional layer of protection.

Then, BeenVerified will ask you to verify that you are a human. Let’s follow along with their provided CAPTCHA instructions. … Great!

Now that we’ve successfully submitted our opt-out request, BeenVerified will send us a confirmation email.

Since we provided a Cloaked email address, let’s check our Cloaked inbox.

If you’ve enabled the Cloaked browser extension, you should also receive a browser notification

If not, you can also check your inbox on the Cloaked app or website.

The email we’ve received says that we can now verify that our opt-out request was successful, so let’s go check on that.

We can navigate back to the original notification in our data removal tab, and click on the provided link once again.

Now, if we input our first and last name, we can see that our record has been removed.
