The following video guide covers the process of removing your data from PeopleConnect.
Sadly some data brokers require these manual steps to be undertaken in order to fully remove your data from their records.
From within your Cloaked Data Removal (Data Deletion) Dashboard you will have written instructions along with this you can follow along with our video guide here.

Thank you for enrolling in our data deletion program, and welcome to Cloaked!

If you’re watching this, you’ve likely seen the notification that PeopleConnect needs attention to remove your data.

This may come as a surprise; while Cloaked is able to automatically request the removal of your data from the majority of data brokers, some data brokers have systems that do not allow for automated submissions and require direct user input.

To streamline this process, we have identified PeopleConnect as the umbrella broker for 33 other websites.

In the next three minutes, this video will show you how to submit a request that will remove your information from 34 total data brokers.

We’ll begin in the notification on the data removal dashboard, which can be found on the desktop dashboard or the mobile dashboard.

The remainder of these steps will be displayed on a desktop computer, but you can easily follow along on your mobile device.

Here in the notification, we can click on the link provided by PeopleConnect.

This will bring us to their opt-out form.

Now that we’re here, we’ll need to enter in our email address to get started.

Since we’re a Cloaked user, we can use a Cloaked email address to add a further layer of protection.

Now, we can agree to their terms of use and click Continue.

PeopleConnect will send an email to the email address you provided.

If you have the Cloaked web extension enabled, you should get a notification once the email has been received.

If not, you can also check your inbox on the Cloaked app or website.

Once we’ve received the email, we can click on the Verify Email button.

We’ll fill out our date of birth for PeopleConnect to begin searching for our record and press Continue.

Now, we can fill in our first, middle, and last name.

There is also an option to scan for multiple names if you click the blue, “add another name” text.

Once we’re done providing our name information, we can click Continue again.

PeopleConnect will provide you with a list of records that match the information given.

Select your record from the list, and then choose an email address or phone number to receive a verification code to.

Your contact information will be censored, so you will be asked to provide the correct phone number or email address for confirmation.

Once we receive the email or text message, we can put in the verification code and hit continue.

On the verification screen, we can click Continue again to manage our suppression rules.

We can now switch Displayed to Suppressed and click Save to prevent your record from appearing in searches.

Troubleshooting
PeopleConnect requires that users verify a contact method that they have listed in their record. However, sometimes these contact methods are outdated, no longer in use, or no longer accessible. In these cases, you can contact PeopleConnect directly using this email address:
Since you won't be able to verify one of the contact methods they have listed for you, you will need to provide your identifying information so they can find and verify the record you want to suppress. In our experience, PeopleConnect prefers full name and full physical address(es), but you may also be able to verify the record by providing the full email addresses or phone numbers connected to your record, as well.
Once you provide this information, PeopleConnect's team will review your request and let you know if they need any further information. If they don't they'll go ahead and let you know they've suppressed your record.
