Whenever you use a Cloaked virtual card, you're making a transaction that must be paid for using the funding source behind it: your linked credit card, debit card, or bank account. This funding source is what’s being “cloaked.”
To make this seamless, AutoPay is always on by default. That means every time you use a Cloaked card, the exact amount is immediately charged to your linked funding source. There’s no need to manually pay off a balance: your account stays settled automatically.
If your funding source is credit-based, AutoPay will stay on and cannot be disabled.
If your funding source is debit-based or a bank account, you can turn AutoPay off in settings—but we don’t recommend it. Turning off AutoPay means you’ll carry a balance and must make manual payments. If you don’t, your cards may be disabled and your account could be sent to collections.
To avoid interruptions and keep your Cloaked cards active, we strongly recommend keeping AutoPay enabled.
