How Currency Conversion Works

When you make a purchase in a foreign currency (like euros or yen), the transaction will be automatically converted and will settle against your linked funding source in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Important Considerations for Fees & Access

While your cards are ready for global use, there are two key things to keep in mind:

1. Account Eligibility: If you do not currently have Cloaked Pay, please note that the Cloaked platform and Cloaked Pay feature are currently available to United States residents. You must be based in the U.S. to apply for Cloaked Pay
2. Foreign Transaction Fees: Cloaked does not charge any additional foreign transaction fees from our side. However, your own bank or credit card company that serves as your funding source likely has its own policy. They may charge a foreign transaction or currency conversion fee, which is common for international purchases.
