Cloaked Pay is designed to automatically fund transactions from your linked payment method. However, in certain situations, a balance can still occur:
- Your linked payment method failed after the transaction (e.g., insufficient funds or expired card).
- There was a delay between when your card was used and when your payment method was charged, creating a gap.
- An underlying payment provider declined the charge after the purchase was already completed.
In these cases, Cloaked must collect the balance from you directly.
Best practice: Keep AutoPay enabled and make sure your linked payment method is current to avoid ever owing a balance. This also ensures your card stays active and uninterrupted.
