Learn how to manage your Cloaked subscription with this complete guide. Whether you need to change your subscription plan, upgrade from monthly to annual, downgrade your plan, or update your payment method, this article provides step-by-step instructions. We will cover how to manage your billing information for all payment types, including credit card, PayPal, the Apple App Store, and the Google Play Store, ensuring you can easily make the changes you need for your account.

 

How to Update Your Subscription

How you manage your subscription depends on where you originally made the purchase. Please follow the instructions below that match your payment method.

If You Subscribed on Our Website with a Card (Stripe)

If you signed up on our website using a credit or debit card, your payment is processed directly by our partner, Stripe. This is different from paying through an intermediary like PayPal or a mobile app store. You can manage your direct Stripe subscription from the Cloaked dashboard on a computer or from the mobile app.

1. Navigate to Your Subscription Settings

  • On a Computer: Log in at my.cloaked.com, click your profile icon, and select Settings > Subscription.
  • On the Mobile App: Open the app, tap your profile icon, and go to Settings > Subscription.

2. Access the Management Portal

  • Click the "Manage Subscription" button. This will open a secure Stripe portal login page.
  • Your unique Cloaked support email will be pre-filled. Click "Send".
  • Check your Cloaked Inbox for an email from Stripe and click the login link inside. Note: If you have forwarding set up, this email may be delivered to your personal recovery email address.

3. Make Your Changes

  • Inside the portal, you can change your plan (e.g., from monthly to annual), update your credit or debit card information, view invoices, and manage all other billing details.

If You Subscribed via PayPal

If you signed up using PayPal, you can manage your recurring payment directly within your PayPal account.

To manage directly from PayPal:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Navigate to your automatic payments page: https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/
  3. Select Cloaked from your list of merchants to view and manage the recurring payment.

If You Subscribed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

When you subscribe through our mobile app, your payment and subscription are managed directly by Apple or Google. You must use their platforms to make any changes to your plan.

To Switch from One Billing Platform to Another

If you would like to move your subscription from one billing platform to another, you will need to cancel your original subscription and create a new one on the platform you wish to use moving forward.

  1. Cancel your current subscription using the relevant instructions listed above in this article
  2. Navigate to Your Subscription Settings
    • On a Computer: Log in at my.cloaked.com, click your profile icon, and select Settings > Subscription.
    • On the Mobile App: Open the app, tap your profile icon, and go to Settings > Subscription.
  3. Follow the prompt to create a new subscription
    • You will be brought to a checkout page, or a pop-up will appear with checkout instructions. Choose which plan you would like to purchase and fill out your payment information.
