What does the Cloaked eSIM Support?

Does the Cloaked eSIM Voice Calls and Texts?

Yes, you can make and receive calls via your Cloaked eSIM along with making and receiving text messages via this eSIM.

Best of all, this eSIM also supports iMessage (for iOS Users).

Can the Cloaked eSIM be used for banking apps?

Yes, your Cloaked eSIM number can be used to secure financial accounts (including services like PayPal, CashApp and similar).

Can the Cloaked eSIM be used for insurance?

Yes, your Cloaked eSIM number can be used to protect medical data and your insurance details.

What limitations does the Cloaked eSIM have?

Does the Cloaked eSIM Support Roaming (International Usage)?

Cloaked eSIMs do not support Roaming overseas.

Does the Cloaked eSIM Support Data?

At present, the Cloaked eSIM cannot be used for data at this time.

Can I use my Cloaked eSIM number for all applications?

No, to keep your eSIM secure by only sharing it when necessary. We recommend only sharing this number when standard Cloaked numbers are rejected.

Can I use Cloaked eSIMs to generate a non-US number?

No. Cloaked eSIMs are only supported in the United States at this time. 

Voicemail with the Cloaked eSIM

Is there a voicemail service provided with the Cloaked eSIM?

Yes, voicemail is enabled for all users by default who have an active Cloaked eSIM

I need my voicemail PIN? Where is it?

The PIN for your Cloaked eSIM Voicemail is the last four digits of the eSIM phone number.

Technical Details

Who powers the Cloaked eSIM?

The phone network leveraged for the Cloaked eSIM is T-Mobile. T-Mobile and Cloaked are working together to provide you with this service and experience.

What devices are supported?

This depends on your carrier and device. In most cases, your phone calls should trigger your default phone app on your device. Some devices may not have the capability to have dual eSIMs so be sure to verify with your device manufacturer that you can leverage dual eSIMs.

Troubleshooting FAQ

Device not supported/compatible error?

If you get an error stating that your device is not compatible with the Cloaked eSIM please ensure that your device does not have any carrier restrictions (locked) and that you have an available eSIM slot on your device. 

Some carriers by default will install their SIM card in the eSIM Slot. If this is the case you'll need to reach out to your carrier for a SIM Swap to allow you to use the eSIM slot with the Cloaked eSIM.

Locked Devices (Network Restrictions) or Carrier Restrictions

If you device has no network restrictions (or isn't carrier locked) you should be able to install and use the Cloaked eSIM without issue. Devices that are locked or have carrier restrictions can be unlocked by your carrier. This can be done in your carriers physical store or if you contact them directly.

eSIM Slot already in use? (Google Fi or similar)

If your carriers current SIM card is an eSIM you may need to reach out to your carrier to request they swap your current eSIM for a physical SIM this will then allow you to be able to install and use the Cloaked eSIM. At present, we do not offer the Cloaked SIM as a physical SIM card.
