Changing your Cloaked password is easy to do and can be done in a couple of minutes, either via the Cloaked Dashboard on the computer or via the Cloaked App.
Changing your password via the Cloaked Dashboard:
- Login to your Cloaked Account then go to your user icon, and select Settings from the menu in the upper right corner, then select 'Settings'

Just so you know, these steps apply to users in both the basic mode and advanced features mode of the Cloaked Desktop Dashboard.
- Once you are in Settings you will need to select 'Change password'.
- You will first need to enter your current password in the topmost field, then enter the new password you wish to use in the next two fields. Then push 'Save'. Once you have done so your Cloaked password has been changed.
- Once you have changed your Cloaked password, we recommend you update your password manager with the new password and, if you haven't already, ensure you've got a copy of your recovery passphrase saved and stored away.
Changing your password via the Cloaked App:
- Open your Cloaked App and go to the 'Menu' button, then tap on Profile and Settings, then Settings.

Just so you know, if you have advanced features enabled, you'll need to tap on your profile icon (upper left) to access this menu and tap on Settings. You will not see an option labeled Profile and Settings in this mode.
- Once under 'Account Security' tap on 'Change Password'. You will first need to enter your current password in the topmost field, then enter the new password you wish to use in the next two fields. Then push 'Save'. Once you have done so your Cloaked password has been changed.
- Once you have changed your Cloaked Account password, we recommend you update your password manager with the new password, and if you haven't alread,y ensure you've got a copy of your recovery passphrase saved and stored away.
Note: The steps above will also apply to users using the Cloaked app on Android devices as well.
