Here are some common troubleshooting steps that you can try to see if they solve the issue you are experiencing with your browsers/Cloaked extensions:

Common Cloaked Extension Fixes

1. Logout of the Cloaked Extension
2. Login to the Cloaked Extension
3. Restart the Browser (closing all Windows and Tabs)
4. If using Chrome and you are still experiencing issues in the address/search bar type the following: chrome://restart - this will restart Chrome for you, though before you do this make sure everything you are using is saved!
   
5. If other extensions are installed try disabling all other extensions leaving only Cloaked switched on and test to see if the issue is resolved.
   
6. Remove the Cloaked extension, then re-install it via the Cloaked Dashboard or by searching for it within the Chrome Web Store.
   

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

If you are experiencing issues with the Cloaked Extension and the above steps have not resolved the issue you can create or add a new browser profile.

By default, you'll only have the one browser profile so creating a new profile can rule out any potential issues in the existing profile. 

If the issue with the Claoked Extension is not present in the browser profile then you will likely need to migrate your important data from the old profile and transfer it into the new profile instead.

Creating a new profile in Chrome

1. Open Chrome as usual
2. At the top right, click Profile .
3. Click Add.
4. Click Continue without an account
5. Then choose a name and color scheme (ideally something different from your usual profile).
6. Click Done

Creating a new profile in Brave

1. Open Brave as usual
2. At the top right, click the Menu icon
3. Navigate to More tools, then click Add New Profile.
4. Choose a name and color scheme (ideally something different from your usual profile).
5. Click Done
