If you decide you no longer want to use Call Guard, follow these steps carefully to ensure call forwarding is properly deactivated with your carrier:

  1. Go to Call Guard settings (via the Calls tab action sheet or Profile menu).
  2. Use the toggle switch to turn Call Guard OFF.

  3. Confirm your choice when prompted by the app.

  4. Follow the steps to disable Call Forwarding with your carrier:
    • Note the deactivation code provided for your carrier (e.g., *73 or ##004#). Confirm your carrier is correct or select a different one if needed.

    • Tap "Call Now". This will open the call prompt.

    • Hang up when the call ends or when instructed by your carrier's automated message. Return to the Cloaked app.

  5. Wait a moment while the Cloaked app performs a brief test call to confirm that forwarding has been successfully disabled (i.e., the test call should not reach Cloaked).

  6. iOS Only:
    • You can to go to your iPhone Settings to re-enable "Silence Unknown Callers" and/or "Live Voicemail" to return the Phone app and behavior to default settings.

  7. Once the test confirms forwarding is off, the app will show a confirmation screen indicating Call Guard is disabled.

Troubleshooting Disable Flow:

If the test call indicates forwarding is still active after you've dialed the disable code, the app should guide you to a troubleshooting screen or provide options to try again or contact support.

If you encounter any persistent issues, please reach out to Cloaked Customer Support.
